Thurles - Friday Walking

Our series of Friday walks continued last weekend with more than 60 people enjoying the forrest walk at Latteragh. It was a beautiful, balmy evening with magnificent views of the surrounding countryside - all the way from the hills over Templederry to the lake at Lough Derg. We will continue with our fourth walk of the Summer on this Friday evening, June 10, to the wooded splendour of Aherlow and the magnificent back-drop of the Galtee mountains. Our meeting place for walk participants is the Carpark, Slievenamon Road, Thurles (beside Lar na Pairce) at 6.20pm and we will make a brief stop in Boherna at 6.35pm and then on to the car park of the Aherlow House hotel, to begin our walk. We are delighted to welcome new people who would like to enjoy the Irish countryside at it’s best during the Summer, while also improving their fitness. If you require further information you can telephone Carmel in advance at 086-2602133 or e-mail chirri@eircom.net.
