The next guided walk in the Slieve Felim series takes place this Thursday August 1st. The meeting point is Killoscully at 7 p.m. for a 9km trek to Doonane Woods Car Park.

The next guided walk in the Slieve Felim series takes place this Thursday August 1st. The meeting point is Killoscully at 7 p.m. for a 9km trek to Doonane Woods Car Park.

The Slieve Felim Way is a 44km linear walking route that weaves from the village of Murroe in North Tipperary around Slieve Felim (422m), Keeper Hill (694m) and the Silvermine Mountains (475m) to finish at the village of Silvermines.

North Tipperary LEADER Partnership are working with community groups, outdoor clubs and tourism business owners along the route to develop amenities along the route. They are holding this series of free, guided walks to showcase sections of the route to locals and visitors alike. All are welcome.

The final walk in the series will start from Knockanroe Wood, Silvermines, on August 8th. All walks start at 7pm – and finish at 9:30pm. Please bring suitable footwear, rainwear, fluid, snack and mobile phone.
