IFA National Livestock Committee Chairman Henry Burns together with John Waters, IFA Animal Health Chairman, Kevin Kinsella, IFA Director of Livestock and Tomas Bourke IFA Animal Health Executive recently made a detailed presentation to the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Agriculture, Food & the Marine on the New Animal Health and Welfare Bill 2012.

The IFA has proposed 84 amendments to the Animal Health & Welfare bill reflecting the concerns of farmers over the wide-ranging impact of the bill on farmers and the agricultural sector.
