OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
On Tuesday evening last, Macra club officers from around the county descended on Nenagh for an evening of planning for the year ahead.
hey were aided in this endeavour by their training office Brigid Walsh and by special guest Macra National President, Alan Jagoe. A great macra calendar has thus be planned for the coming months including sporting events, the performing arts and trips to all four of macra’s personality competitions.
This Friday, the 22nd at 9pm there will be a meeting of the North Tipperary county executive. This will be held in Bobby Reidy’s, Newtown, Nenagh. Following on from the brief meeting there will be live on stage interviews to choose the North Tipperary representatives for all four of the aforementioned personality competitions. These include Miss Macra, Miss Blue Jeans and Queen of the Land; for the fellas there is of course as always the Mr Personality competition. Miss Macra is of course hosted by our southerly neighbours Clonouly-Rossmore and they have managed to keep many of the traditional aspects of the competition alive even in this modern era.
