McGrath incensed by behaviour and attitude of Friends First Bank

Following a meeting with Representatives of Friends First Finance, South Tipperary Independent TD Mattie McGrath and five others are occupying the Friends First Finance Headquarters in Loughlinstown in Dublin.

They sought a commitment from the Bank that the bank would desist from sending agents to carry out repossessions ignoring the Code of Conduct for Business lending to Small and Medium enterprises.

The two hour meeting ended unsuccessfully and Deputy McGrath and the five others are remaining in the building until such a commitment has been made in writing by the bank.
