Council Issues Traders With A Call To Arms

FINE Gael’s Cllr Conor Delaney has called on the business men and women of Nenagh to match the efforts of Nenagh Town Council this Christmas.

Nenagh town clerk Dónal Purcell told councillors that it would be free to park in the town car parks on Saturday, December 8, 15 and 22. Such a measure was designed to encourage foot fall in the town as the Christmas period approached.

Labour Mayor Lalor McGee thanked the executive for this “great gesture”.

Cllr Delaney said: “With this gesture in one hand I would like to see the business people of the town come out with another gesture and make it a really special Christmas. The business people need to step up to the mark as well.”
