Noel Coonan TD has welcomed the provision of an additional €155,000 to Tipperary’s County Enterprise Boards (CEBs). €95,000 was allocated this week to North Tipperary CEB and €60,000 to South Tipperary CEB.
Deputy Coonan said: “The Minister for Small Business, John Perry T.D announced an additional €3.78million to the County and City Enterprise Boards directly to fund job creation projects in the remaining months of 2012. The funding will assist in creating or sustaining 15 jobs in County Tipperary.”
“A huge proportion of jobs in County Tipperary are held in small, local enterprises. The Government recognises the importance of this role and has secured additional capital funding for the CEBs that will support and encourage these companies to start-up or expand their services and thereby create and sustain jobs.”
“I want to compliment the staff working in our County Enterprise Boards who are driving a high level of local business. Extra funding is now required because of their efforts and the demand for services. It is good news that we are in a position to use this money and that we have a vibrant entrepreneurial spirit in Tipperary”, he said.
