Cllr. Seamie Morris has lent his backing to Bus Eireann’s application for a licence to operate the 7.30 Limerick to Dublin Bus route, stating that it is a vital service for the people of North Tipperary as it serves Nenagh, Toomevara, Moneygall and Roscrea.
“I have had a number of phone calls from ladies who need this Bus Service to get from Nenagh to Roscrea for courses in The Vocational College in Roscrea and also to work in Roscrea and indeed from school teachers and shop assistants that travel from Limerick to Nenagh. It also serves as a vital transport service for people attending college in Carlow and other places as it links up with other Bus Eireann services elsewhere.
“This bus is also vital for people from North Tipperary to get to work, meetings and Hospital appointments in Dublin. It was a real surprise to hear that this service was not licensed as it is a vital service for the people of North Tipperary especially at a time of such deep recession and I am also of the belief that it is one of the busiest services from Limerick to Dublin”, he said.
