ZETOR Sales Ireland Limited, a McHale Plant Sales group company, has recently finalised exclusive rights for the import and distribution of products from three leading tractor attachment suppliers.

This is part of the Birdhill-based group company’s strategy of broadening the ranges of agricultural products it distributes in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. It also signals its plans to enter the attachments market in a significant way. The three brands to be represented by Zetor Sales Ireland are: Agrostroj Pelhrimov of the Czech Republic, a specialist manufacturer of Mowers and

Mulchers; SIP, a Slovenian manufacturer, who design and produce a wide range of grass harvesting equipment, including mowers, tedders and rakes, and UNIA, a full line manufacturer of harvesting and cultivation equipment based inPoland. UNIA’s extensive ranges include mowers, spreaders, balers, wrappers, ploughs, cultivators, rollers and seeders.

According to John Doyle, group marketing manager: “We are very pleased to have concluded these arrangements. Agrostroj Pelhrimov and SIP products were marketed in Ireland by the previous Zetor importers and there are large populations of these products operating successfully around the country. The UNIA launch is equally exciting as they have a wide range of quality products at good prices”

Sales manager, Chris Guilfoyle outlined the plans further: “ We will exhibit the products at the major shows this year including the FTMTA’s Grass and Muck event. We welcome customers to come and have a look at the value offered. We are also planning some demos of the baler and wrapper ranges”

The addition of these franchises is also a great opportunity for the current Zetor Sales Ireland Limited dealer network to enhance their activity in the vast attachments market. Zetor Sales Manager, Cormac O’ Sullivan says: “The Agrostroj mowers are currently selling very well. The dealers are also reacting very positively to the chance to sell the other ranges and we are currently talking to a few new dealers which will help enhance our presence further for next season.”
