Companies urged to enter Europe’s biggest business competition

Businesses in Northern Ireland are being challenged to pit themselves against some of the best companies in Europe by entering The European Business Awards, sponsored by RSM International.

Businesses in Northern Ireland are being challenged to pit themselves against some of the best companies in Europe by entering The European Business Awards, sponsored by RSM International.

The competition recognises and rewards excellence, best practice and innovation across the European business community and comprises three phases of judging, two phases of public voting and involves over 130 high calibre judges to decide the final winners of the 11 categories.

Last year the awards attracted interest from over 24,000 organisations from 33 countries, generated over 150,000 votes for businesses by the public and gained extensive publicity for the shortlisted companies. Final entrants had a combined revenue of over €1 trillion and profits of over €50 billion.

Four companies from Northern Ireland, Randox Laboratories, Almac, TG Eakin and Hill Engineering, were named National Champions in this year’s competition. As finalists in the 2014/15 awards, Randox and Almac will join household names such as Admiral Group, PayPal, M&S, Sky Deutschland and Charles Tyrwhitt at a gala dinner at the end of May, where the overall winners will be announced.
