Householders in North and South Tipperary are among the most compliant when it comes to paying the Local Property Tax (LPT). New figures from the Revenue Commissioners show that there is a 91% compliance rate in both Tipperary’s.
In the North, some €2.3m has been collected so far, while €2.8m has been collected in the South. The County is in line with national trends.
The overall LPT compliance rate is currently estimated to be 90% with some €200m collected as at the end of September. This is based on 1.59m properties returned, returns made in connection with 0.16m Local Authority or similar properties, and a total expected register of 1.95m properties.
