All the pieces are now
fitting snugly into place for the staging of ‘Les Misérables’ at Cashel Community School, Wednesday – Saturday,
6th – 9th November.
This musical, set in 19th century France and based on the historical novel by Victor Hugo, has stirred audiences throughout the world across three decades.
Most recently, a film version has packed cinemas in Europe and North America. And now it is the turn of the people of County Tipperary to experience at first hand a vibrant production of this memorable musical drama. Irish singer/actor Colm T. Wilkinson took the theatrical world by storm with his portrayal of the musical’s central character, Jean Valjean. Cashel’s audiences will thrill to the performance of Thomas Grogan in this leading role – following on his accomplished presentation of the Phantom in last year’s school show. The cast for “Les Misérables” abounds with stars from the 2012 production of “The Phantom of the Opera”.
