The theme this year – “My Green School” was chosen since all Primary Schools in Roscrea and surrounding areas now proudly display their Green Flags, and many have obtained their second, third and fourth Flag. In fact, St. Anne’s Special School are now in the process of being granted their fifth Green Flag, and is the first Special School in the Country to do so.

The Library walls were covered with all the Posters, and what a spectacle! Every square inch of space on the walls, doors and patricians were utilized. Several hundred posters were on display, and no two were alike.

Class 2, St. Anne’s and Aoibhneas Class in Dromakeenan presented two outstanding Posters this year, and they were awarded 1st and 2nd prizes in the Special Category. The School got the award, and each child was presented with a medal. Class 2 St.. Anne’s also won the John Lupton Shield.

The Bernie Colclough Shield was won by Deimante Karpaviciute of Sacred Heart Primary School , unbelievably one of the youngest entrants, as she is the Under 6 Category. Deimante wasn’t present on the night, so the Shield was presented to two of her classmates.
