The courage and honesty of young artists in presenting their work for public viewing was lauded by Mr David Leahy, CEO of North Tipperary VEC, when he officially opened an exciting exhibition by over 70 talented artists from various parts of Tipperary in a packed Tipperary Institute, Thurles, last week.
He complimented the artists who were all “fantastic”.
And also Jean Forbes Cooke and Maria Lawlor of Tipperary Institute which had become “synonymous with the presentation of art.” Indeed. He also lauded Art Teachers, Regina Dorney, Colaiste Mhuire Co-Ed, and Elaine Hurley of Thurles Education Centre. The artists addressed various interesting themes in an exciting manner, using a wide range of materials.
