Last March local photographer Mark Fitzell, the man responsible for the hugely popular Facebook phenomenon ‘The Many Faces of Cashel‘ scooped first prize in a photographic competition titled ‘Proud to be Irish’ on TV3’s Ireland AM programme.

Later this month he’s going to be back on the box again with three of the men from the ‘Many Faces’ series, Willie McGrath, Albert Carrie and Sean O’Duibhir. On Saturday last the photographer and his subjects were interviewed by Fiona O’Sullivan of Tipperary County Matters for Irish TV in the Bothan Scoir, on the Clonmel Road. “The theme of the County Matters shows is simple – Irish rural life is unique, with its own cultures, traditions and events. At the heart of these events are people, and wherever people gather, we’ll be there,” said presenter Fiona O’Sullivan. As all four are masters in the ‘Gift of the Gab’ so the program is a must see. The show can be seen on Sky Irish TV channel 191 every Saturday night at 8.30pm. At the time of going to press the exact date is uncertain, either 24th or 31st.
