Thurles Toastmasters

Congratulations to all Thurles Toastmasters members who participated in the Serious Speech and Evaluation contest held in the Anner Hotel on the 29th Feb. The standard was high from the Thurles club as can always be expected but the results were as follows. In Third place with her speech titled “Remarkable Irish Women of their time” was Eileen Leahy. In Second place with a speech titled “Never been to me” was John Kelly. The winning speech titled “Singing Out of Tune” was delivered by Paul Sheridan. Well done also to Trish Loughnane who provided the Test Speech for the participants during the evaluation section of the contest.

The Thurles Toastmasters would like to wish Paul every success when he goes on to represent the club in the Area Final which will also be hosted in Thurles on the 4th April and will see Paul take on contest winners from clubs in the surrounding areas.

We would also like to remind people that there will be a Club meeting on Wednesday, 7th March in the Anner Hotel at 8 p.m. and as always, guests are more than welcome.
