Circulation and readership research will feature among the key highlights of Local Newspaper Week which runs from Monday 24th October to 28th October. The research will be launched by Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources, Mr. Pat Rabbitte, T.D., on behalf of the Regional Newspapers and Printers Association of Ireland at a luncheon in Dublin on Wednesday 26th October. Over 30 weekly paid for titles, including the “Tipperary Star” are participating in this inaugural week.
Welcoming the move, Ms Irene Hamilton, Managing Director, Southern Region, Johnston Press, proprietors of the “Tipperary Star”, stated “Local Newspaper Week is a wonderful initiative and one that gives us an opportunity to remind our readers just how much the Tipperary Star is at the heart of both family and Community life in North Tipperary. We are delighted to be participating in this initiative and we hope that all our readers enjoy our special publication that will be included in next weeks paper”
Each title will publish a 16 page compact/tabloid supplement that aims to highlight the unique brand that is regional press. Included will be the key findings from an IPSOS/MRBI omnipoll survey carried out in late September on readership trends and preferences.
