The beautiful prayer service was prepared by the Christian Women of The Bahamas.

We learned that life in The Bahamas is far from ideal and it is certainly no Paradise. Luxury liners bring thousands of people to the islands and tourists are totally oblivious to the poverty and poor conditions of the people.

The Women of the Bahamas, in conclusion urged us to: “Take time to do simple acts of love, like appreciating people - regardless of who they are. Encourage someone each day. Look for the good in people; let people know what you like. God will use your smile, your hug, and your service to up-lift someone that is weeping on the inside. Practice radical love! Be kind, be loving, be humble, be genuine, be just!” An tUsail Séan O’Duibhir was Guest Speaker and in his very interesting talk he paid a lovely tribute to the late Honor Davern who, for many years, participated in the Women’s World Day of Prayer Service.
