The Very Reverend Dr. Tom Corbett came to Roscrea in 2005 as Parish Priest.

He was formerly Professor of Systematic Theology at St. Patrick’s Pontifical College in Maynooth where he taught many of the country’s diocesan priests and many of the country’s Bishops.

He is a native of Scariff in County Clare and since coming to Roscrea he has endeared himself to all in the community and its surrounds. He will give the Guest of Honour’s address from the Review Stand at approximately 3 O’clock before the parade arrives.

Roscrea’s Community Development Council’s sub-committee under the Chairmanship of Steve Crofton are finalising plans for Roscrea’s 37th annual successive Parade in the town which takes place at 3pm through the streets of the town on Tuesday, March 17th St. Patrick’s Day, our National Feast Day. The organising committee are asking people to come onto the streets in large numbers and enjoy the festivities. They also invite individuals, groups, organisations, clubs, businesses, novelty items and community interest groups to enter floats free of charge and add to the diversity of the parade.
