Songschool is for secondary school students who are interested in writing and recording songs, performing them at a concert, making a video, learning about music technology and meeting new people and forming bands.

In this one-day workshop participants will collaborate to write, arrange and rehearse a song that they will perform on stage at the end of the workshop.

Whether you are just beginning to learn an instrument or if you are a more experienced player, this workshop is for you.

In fact the ability to play an instrument is definitely not a pre-requisite!

So, if you are curious, creative or just keen to learn more then come along and meet people who love music as much as you do.

The tutors are Thurles native Joey Maguire (DJ, musician and part of Tetris Effect) and Justin Cullen (Kilkenny based singer-songwriter who fronts Frankenstein Bolts).

The workshop will take place on Wednesday, April 8th (11am-5.30pm, including concert at 5pm). Tickets priced at €20 (€18 early bird) Suitable for 12 to 18-year-olds.
