Don’t miss the Cistercian College Roscrea’s production of ‘West Side Story’ from November 10th-12th

Cistercian College Roscrea will present three nights of musical extravaganza with a production of the widely acclaimed ‘West Side Story’ - the production will run from Monday, November 10th to Wednesday, November 12 at the College Hall in the Grounds of Mount St Joseph Abbey, Roscrea in County Tipperary.

Cistercian College Roscrea will present three nights of musical extravaganza with a production of the widely acclaimed ‘West Side Story’ - the production will run from Monday, November 10th to Wednesday, November 12 at the College Hall in the Grounds of Mount St Joseph Abbey, Roscrea in County Tipperary.

Inspired by William Shakespeare’s ‘Romeo and Juliet’, the musical is set in the Upper West Side neighborhood of New York City during the mid-1950s and explores the rivalry between the Jets and the Sharks, two teenage street gangs of different ethnic backgrounds.

Cistercian College students Cian Burke, David Nagle, Conal Hanamy and Adam Flaherty will play the leading cast members over the three-night run.

The audience is guaranteed to be treated to an evening of melodies, spectacle and dancing that will be a treat to both the eyes and the ears and we welcome all to sing along on the night to all the favourites including ‘Tonight’ and ‘Maria’”.

Doors for this production of ‘West Side Story’ will open nightly at 7pm with curtain up at 7.30pm sharp. Tickets start at five euros for students and pensioners and €10 for adults. Ticket reservations can be made by calling the box office on 0505 23344.
