For Heritage Week 2014 and as part of our ‘Adopt a Monument Scheme’ supported by Tipperary County Council, Cashel Heritage Forum is delighted to present an illustrated lecture by Dr Patrick Gleeson U.C.C.
The lecture will feature the preliminary interpretative results of geophysical survey work on the Rock of Cashel commissioned by Dr. Patrick Gleeson, and was conducted by Earthsound Archaeological Geophysics in 2014. This work was funded by The Heritage Council.
This groundbreaking non-invasive survey is the first of its kind on the Rock of Cashel, and the results will inform research work on the Rock for many years to come.
This will be the first time that the results of the survey work will be publicly presented, and we are delighted that it will be happening in Cashel. The lecture takes place on Thursday 28th August at 7.30pm upstairs in O’Brien’s Holiday Lodge (opposite Hoare Abbey). Admission is J5, refreshments provided. All are welcome.
