Cashel restaurant Café Hans has been awarded a Bib Gourmand in the Michelin Guide Great Britain & Ireland 2016 just published.
Michelin Bib Gourmand awards recognise those establishments that offer good food at affordable prices of E40 or less for a three-course meal. Located on Moore Lane within walking distance of the Rock of Cashel, Café Hans is a family-run restaurant serving dishes crafted from local ingredients. Speaking at the launch of the Michelin Guide, editor Rebecca Burr said: “Stars and Bib Gourmands are annual awards. Each year we seek out new candidates and reassess our existing award restaurants. Consistency is a key part of our selection process and it is important for our readers that the standard of cooking is maintained”.
The Michelin Guide Great Britain & Ireland 2016 – produced by leading tyre manufacturer Michelin – is published this week, and is priced at E16.99.
