Happily, Johnny’s tour marks the 25th anniversary of his song ‘The Voyage’ - 2014 marks the 25th Anniversary of the release of the first of many covers of ‘The Voyage’ by the legendary Christy Moore, who was the first to predict that the song would become widely popular.
The enduring appeal of Johnny Duhan’s songs like ‘The Voyage’ and ‘Don’t Give Up Till It’s Over’ are sung all over the world in a variety of languages thanks to the focus put on them by Christy Moore, The Dubliners, The Irish Tenors, Mary Black, Tommy Fleming and hosts of other Irish and international singers. Recently the songwriter Johnny Duhan has taken to the stage himself in a series of one-man shows based on his songbook ‘To the Light’.

Johnny Duhan started his career as a 15-year-old front man in the Limerick beat group Granny’s Intentions who were signed by the Deram label. The band then released one album.
Johnny then launched his career of writing folk songs, poetry and prose.
