The Minnitts of Annabeg, which was shot in and around Nenagh by Alan Browne, will gets its first public screening at Nenagh Arts Centre, this Saturday, September 14.

The Minnitts of Annabeg, which was shot in and around Nenagh by Alan Browne, will gets its first public screening at Nenagh Arts Centre, this Saturday, September 14.

The film centres on the story of the Minnitt family from Annabeg near Ballycommon and is set during the famine. The film is currently being entered for festivals and Mr Brown is arranging distribution around Ireland before heading back to America, where it was shown in New York, Boston and Philadelphia. Each of the screenings was attended by the director and producer, Ciara O’Sullivan from Nenagh. The Minnitts of Annabeg will be screened in Nenagh Arts Centre, at 7.30pm. Tickets cost €8.
