The Source Arts Centre will host an exhibition of work by artist Brian Bourke entitled ‘The Full Spectrum’ from Thursday, May 29th to Thursday, June 26th.

Brian Bourke is considered one of the most significant artists working in Ireland today. In a career spanning over forty years his output has been enormous.

He has worked on a wide range of subject matter, mostly in painting and drawing.

His works display a great affinity and sympathy for his subject matter, and above all, a wonderful sense of humour.

‘The Full Spectrum’ features work from various series Brian Bourke has been engaged with over the last ten years along with recent unseen works that he is currently working on.

From early landscapes and life-size nude self-portraits, Bourke’s work has evolved to his interest in observational work rooted in the places and things he encounters in day-to-day life and in fictional narrative.

The exhibition will show in blocks - works that are related to each other by subject and developed in various media over a period of time. Brian Bourke has represented Ireland at several international exhibitions, received numerous awards and his work is included in public and private collections both in Ireland and abroad.

He is also an elected a member of Aosdána and an honorary member of the Royal Hibernian Academy.

Please call the box office on 0504 90204 for more details or visit thesourceartscentre.ie.

The exhibition will be open daily from 10am to 5pm on Tuesday to Friday and from 2pm to 5pm on Saturdays.
