London-based Frenzy Films, in association with US-based Flint Hill Studios, have selected the County of Tipperary as a location for their next feature film, The Quiet Hour.

The landscape and the wonderful farmhouses have been described by Frenzy Films as “the perfect backdrop” for the low budget sci-fi thriller written and to be directed by Stéphanie Joalland.

The film focuses on a teenage girl who must protect her farm against marauders in a post-apocalyptic world in the aftermath of an extraterrestrial invasion. The film’s producer, Sean McConville, is delighted to officially announce Tipperary as the perfect location after recently being hosted on a scout by Loughmore resident and member of the Loughmore and Thurles Drama Group Paul Flanagan, who will also be involved in the production.

The film begins shooting mid-June and the team are currently casting and crewing up in London.
