NENAGH-born Fr Seam McDonagh, SCC, will be the third guest speaker in Nenagh Arts Centre as part of the Public Conversations series. The event takes places on Wednesday, February 20, at 7.30pm.
Gerry Coffey and Kathleen O’Meara, organisers, are delighted that Fr McDonagh has taken up the invitation extended to him to take part in the series of public conversations that aims to provide an opportunity for people living in Nenagh and surrounding areas to come and engage with those who are either working or living in North Tipperary and to discuss in a positive way, ideas for building communities and community resilience in building a new and sustainable Ireland.
Fr McDonagh has been described as one of the leading thinkers and writers in the field of eco-theology and has written many books and papers on this growing area of thought. In light of the refrain for economic growth as the way to alleviate some, if not all of, our current problems in Ireland and abroad, it will be most interesting to hear him talk about his personal journey to where he now stands and to engage in reflection as to what has brought to this place.
All are welcome and encouraged to come along and to participate in the question and answer session. There is no admission charge, only a collection to pay for the hire of the room. For further information, contact firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com
