Golden and Thomastown National Schools will join forces to produce what promises to be a fantastic version of the world famous musical Oliver.

Golden and Thomastown National Schools will join forces to produce what promises to be a fantastic version of the world famous musical Oliver.

Bringing vividly to life Dickens’ timeless Victorian characters with its ever-popular story of the boy who asked for more Lionel Bart’s sensational score includes ‘Food Glorious Food’, ‘Consider Yourself’, ‘You’ve Got to Pick-a-Pocket or Two’ and many more.

The part of Oliver will be played by Eoghan Tegerdine with Aaron Griffin-Donnelly taking on the role of the likeable rogue, the Artful Dodger. Richie Crowe is cast in the role of Fagin with Kayleigh Ryan (Nancy), Niall Hogan (Mr. Bumble) and Andy Byrnes (Bill Sykes) are also central to the storyline.

All of the children from first to sixth class in each school are involved so a fun-filled, toe-tapping night is assured.

The show will be staged on Wednesday the 16th, Friday the 18th and Saturday the 19th of January at 8pm in the GAA Hall, Golden.
