As always the feature events are the show classes. There are a wide variety of classes for all you beekeepers and non beekeepers alike, such as, honey, wax and wax products, cakes and sweets, mead and wine and photography. There are 40 classes in all so don’t be shy, details of these classes can be found on our website www.southtippbees.com. Demonstrations will be given by Denis Ryan on beeswax candle making and Jim Power on preparation of honey for show. The ICA will host a craft exhibition and card sale. There will be a junior art competition for primary school students.
This event could not go ahead without the continued support of our sponsors, the organisors and you the public who come to the show; for that we thank you all. Looking forward to meeting you there where many a bee story will be shared over a cup of tea. For those of you who would like to know more about the secret life of bees, come along and meet some seasoned beekeepers whose enthusiasm and encouragement may lead you to the beginning of a wonderful new adventure.
