Marie, who was a fantastic ambassador for Tipperary and Dubai throughout the Rose of Tralee Festival, cites the Rose parade on Saturday night as a personal highlight of her experience when all Roses were guided through the main street of Tralee on floats.
The popular camogie player also brought a huge entourage of family members, friends from home, Dubai and college, fiancee Jody, Borrisoleigh camogie team mates and even former students who had all made the journey to Kerry to offer their support over the three day Kerry event. Marie, who wowed in a custom made embellished dress says nerves were not an issue as she took the stage last Monday night. Having already embarked on a whirlwind media tour along with her fellow 23 Roses, Marie quickly became accustomed to the bright lights and TV cameras admitting that all girls were calm and enjoying themselves backstage despite the estimated 1.7 million viewers who tuned in to watch the two night event.
