Meteor award winner John Spillane has dramatically risen out of the Cork folk scene to become a household name throughout the country. His songs are now being recorded and played by the likes of Christy Moore, Mary Black and Sharon Shannon.

John has toured the world spreading joy with his melodic tunes like The Dance of the Cherry Trees and Dunnes Stores Girl.

Yet for all the depth and poetry in his songs, John’s gigs are always full of craic!

Humor, warm banter and gentle self-deprecation are the order of the day and the audience spend most of their time laughing as they do entranced by the music.

A Rock To Cling To is the brand new album from John Spillane and was released last September.

John calls this album his “beautiful album” and it’s a collection of newly-composed Irish melodies, songs of love and family - quite simply, an album of beautiful songs.

Join us at The Source for a magical evening of music. At almost every show John greets audiences with the phrase “ladies and gentlemen I’m going to win over each and every one of ye - one by one - wait and see!” And he will too. Wait and see.
