Leslie Dowdall and Mike Hanrahan feature at the Nenagh Arts Centre

This autumn sees the beginning of the much-anticipated national tour from two of this islands most acclaimed singer-songwriters Leslie Dowdall and Mike Hanrahan.

This autumn sees the beginning of the much-anticipated national tour from two of this islands most acclaimed singer-songwriters Leslie Dowdall and Mike Hanrahan.

With legendary histories behind them their song-writing and performing talents will be showcased in the intimate setting of Nenagh Arts Centre on Saturday, November 29th. Between them and to the present time they are still lauded for retrospective classic hits such as ‘Beautiful Affair’ and ‘Wonderful Thing’.

Both artists have a significant musical pedigree to call upon - Leslie was lead singer for Dublin band In Tua Nua who released a number of acclaimed albums in the 1980’s and 90’s including ‘Vaudeville’ and ‘The Long Acre’ and toured all across the world with the band.

Mike Hanrahan is similar, having spent over thirty years in the music business with Stockton’s Wing and as a solo artist including two albums ‘Someone Like You’ and ‘What You Know’. More recently Mike has been involved in the food industry and is a teacher at the Ballymaloe Cookery school.
