With just over a week to the 14th Annual Terryglass Arts Festival details have been announced of the night time entertainment attractions.
The line-up includes some of the best names in Irish music and comedy as well as emerging artists and old favourites.
Opening the festival on Wednesday, August 15th is a horn and harp recital from acclaimed musicians Mary Curran, founder of WhistleBlast Quartet and Aisling Ennis, regular performers in the National Concert Hall. This will be followed by the hilarious and popular Snatch Comedy Improv who recently clinched first prize in the Finland International Improv Festival.
Elvis, Napoleon, Kylie, Mother Teresa and the Statue of Liberty come alive on Thursday, August 16th in Gary Jermyn’s hilarious one man show My Life as a Chatshow Host.
Hailed by none other than Bono as the poet laureate of Dalkey, Jermyn has been described by the Irish Times as ‘possibly the most entertaining accountant on the planet’.
There’s a real treat in store for music lovers on Friday, August 19th when one of Ireland’s most respected and best loved singers Jack L performs in Terryglass Church. Turning each song into his own with his unique and powerful style, Terryglass audiences can expect tugs at the heartstrings as Jack L’s voice touches emotions that only music can reach.
The original Guinness Jazz Band provides the music on Terryglass Quay on Saturday night, August 18th followed by the now traditional after dark monster fireworks display which will light up the night sky for miles around.
