Writer Derbhile Graham is organising a weekend workshop for other writers in a fairy fort in North Tipperary.
The course will actually take place at the Fairy Fort Farm in Borrisoleigh, half an hour from the Rock of Cashel, an area steeped in history and fairy lore.
The weekend will run from September 14th to September 16th (Friday-Sunday) and will cater for any writer who has a strong idea that they want to develop. It will also suit writers who want space to write, but like the idea of meeting kindred spirits.
The weekend is open to beginners and to people who have started working on their idea, but may be a little stuck. There’ll be workshops on the Saturday and Sunday, where people will have a chance to share their ideas and get feedback on them, from Derbhile and other writers.
When not writing, people will have the chance to walk in the surrounding countryside, work on their ideas and chat to the other participants.
Derbhile Graham has written professionally for 12 years. Her first novel, The Pink Cage, was published in 2011 by Book Republic while Derbhile is also an experienced workshop facilitator.
The weekend costs E100, which includes two nights’ accommodation, workshops on Saturday and Sunday and lunch. There are ten places on the weekend and bookings are being taken now.
