Encouraged by his father Johnny joined the local brass band, aged 12. He subsequently joined show band The Pioneer Aces and began his professional career aged just 13. Renamed The Premier Aces, they topped the charts in Irish and the UK but were also one of the first bands to break America.

Johnny Carroll is a born perfectionist who believes in delivering a professional performance every time. He has been belting out all the big-band sounds, rock’n’roll, international and traditional tunes on his trumpet with the best lrish bands. TV viewers would be very familiar with the face of Johnny Carroll for his appearances on such programmes as ‘The Late Late Show’, ‘Live at 3’, ‘Up for the Match’ and ‘Sunday Night at the Olympia’.
