Conal Gallen’s ‘A Bit On The Side’ in Thurles

Where do comedy hits come from? Who Knows!

Where do comedy hits come from? Who Knows!

One of the signs of a hit is when everyone is talking about it outside the show, in supermarkets, waiting at checkouts, on the phone. And, that is the response to ‘A Bit On The Side’ the latest comedy on offer from Donegal comedian Conal Gallen.

Conal started touring the show in August 2013 and to date over 30,000 people have seen this smash hit.

Written by Conal and his son Rory, it’s a love story unlike any other.

One hilarious line follows another, bodies get tangled, food orders mixed up and money moved around with the addition of just one letter to a cheque - a big cheque too.

All the action takes place in the house of Willie and Bridie Murphy, a couple who have fought the war of marriage for over 30 years. Bridie, and her long-suffering husband Willie guarantee to get the audience laughing from the first line.

Come along for a great night of laughter and hilarious jokes from start to finish!

‘A Bit on The Side’ features at The Source Arts Centre on Saturday, July 19th at 8pm.

Tickets are priced at €25. Please call the boc office on 0504 90204 or visit www.thesourceartscentre.ie.
