Fans of barbershop singing are in for a treat with a performance from Ireland’s leading male voice harmony quartet, 4 in a Bar, on Wednesday, August 13, at 8.30pm.

Voted the official IABS National Champion Quartet of Ireland for three consecutive years, they will perform a mix of traditional, classical, pop and barbershop songs at this year’s Terryglass Arts Festival.

Based in Dublin, the quartet have performed all over Ireland and abroad and have sung for President Michael D Higgins in Áras an Uachtarán and have been asked to write jingles for radio shows, TV competitions and even marriage proposals!

Singer Paul McGough says the quartet is really looking forward to singing in Terryglass.

“We are delighted to have been asked to perform at the Terryglass Arts Festival where we will be presenting our new member Shane, who hails from Limerick and is currently pursuing vocal studies at DIT in Dublin,” says Paul. “We have a great performance lined up and we really hope Terryglass audiences will enjoy our new sound together.”

4 in a Bar will perform in the festival marquee on Wednesday, August 13.

Early booking is advisable to avoid disappointment due to an anticipated demand for tickets. Tickets cost €10 adults, €5 children and are available to purchase from The Derg Inn shop, Terryglass, or phone 087-2181663.

Tickets will also be available from mid-July on-line at www.terryglassartsfestival.ie
