The grand final of the first-ever Tipp’s Got Talent took place on Sunday evening, July 13th in the Simon Ryan Theatre of the Tipperary Excel Arts Centre.

The grand prize of €500 was awarded to 11-year-old Leona Ryan who gave a hilarious and expressive performance of an extract from Frank McCourt’s ‘Angela’s Ashes’ while the second and third prizes of €300 and €200 respectively went to the lively traditional music group The Badgers and talented solo-singer Rachel Coleman.

Leona Ryan is from Hollyford village and likes drama, singing, music and art. She plays guitar, violin, piano and the tin whistle. Such a talented young lady and a credit to her parents.
