Quaker Built Corn Mill Now A Marvellous Sight

On Sunday June 10th, 10.30am-4.30pm, North Tipp Hospice (Roscrea Branch) will hold an Open Day at Fancroft Mill and Gardens, to be hosted by Marcus and Irene Sweeney.

Built in the early 1800’s by the Pim family, Quaker Millers, this fascinating complex of protected structures, now significantly restored to working order can be enjoyed by those who book a place on one of three guided tours. Tours will commence at 11am;1pm and 3pm. No reservation is required for visitors who wish to explore the extensive gardens. The Mill Tea Rooms will serve simple refreshments. The Mill, situated just 4 kms north of Roscrea, straddles the county boundary. Its oldest section, on the Offaly side of the river, was extended in 1883 into Tipperary.
