An opportunity for the public to meet the Roscrea Town Enhancement Plan consultants has been deferred from Wednesday the 14th of November to Tuesday the 20th of November.
The Chairman of the group Brian King said that the decision to defer the date is as a mark of respect to Eileen Doherty, who lost her son Niall in a tragic aeroplane accident on Sunday. The Chairman said that Eileen is one of the most active members of the enhancement group and that for now our thoughts and prayers should be focused upon Eileen and her family.
The concept plan remains on public display in the window of the former “Mullally Menswear” shop in Roscrea. The plan is also available for download at the following websites www.tipperarynorth.ie or www.paulhogarth.com. The main concepts of the plan will also be available for viewing this week in Roscrea Credit Union and Roscrea Library. The public and the business community are encouraged to view the plan and meet with the consultants on Tuesday next to give their opinion. The plan has a clear vision statement which aims to re-establish Roscrea’s historical significance as an important market and shopping town that capitalises on its rich heritage asset base. The plan envisages the community Working together, and utilising its extensive skillbase to ensure that the town becomes a strong and welcoming tourist destination and one which boasts a safe and vibrant town centre in which to live, visit, socialise and conduct business. The future of Roscrea in in your hands. Make sure you have your say by familiarising yourself with the plan and giving your feedback as soon as possible to either the consultants on Tuesday next or by emailing email@example.com.
