Christmas fun and cheer is coming to Liberty Square, Thurles this year with the first major Thurles Christmas Market which is being organised by local animal charity Cottage Rescue and the Thurles Chamber of Commerce.

Following the successful Cottage Rescue Christmas Market last year and the Thurles Chamber of Commerce Tipperary Food Fayre in August, the two organisations have joined together and will host the Thurles Christmas Market on Sunday 11th December in Liberty Square, Thurles from 1pm to 6m.

Thurles Chamber of Commerce have received sponsorship from Shannon Development and Thurles Town Council.

There will be over 50 stalls at the market so there will be lots for people to see and buy.

On the day shoppers will be able to buy local tasty produce, handmade crafts, Christmas decorations, home-made Christmas cakes, stocking fillers, festive wreaths and logs and the kids can have their faces painted. There will be live music, horse and cart rides and Santa will also be there.

It is hoped that local charities like Cottage Rescue, Cabragh Wetlands and Friends of the Children of Chernobyl will raise much needed funds on the day as well as bringing people together

So make a date in your diary for the Christmas market on Sunday 11th December at 1pm.
