Fabulous entertainment for all lovers of opera at the Tipperary Excel

Music lovers in Tipperary and surrounding area are in for a treat on Friday and Saturday, October 3rd-4th when Gaudeamus Productions present ‘World of Opera’ from the world’s greatest composers of opera including Mozart, Verdi, Puccini, Donizetti etc in the Simon Ryan Theatre at the Tipperary Excel.

Music lovers in Tipperary and surrounding area are in for a treat on Friday and Saturday, October 3rd-4th when Gaudeamus Productions present ‘World of Opera’ from the world’s greatest composers of opera including Mozart, Verdi, Puccini, Donizetti etc in the Simon Ryan Theatre at the Tipperary Excel.

The programme will include the most endearing and loved arias and ensembles from the operatic canon.

Tipperary’s Emma Walsh returns home from London as guest soprano for the production. Emma will be joined by Derek Ryan (bass baritone), Limerick’s Sarah Ellen Murphy (mezzo) and Dublin’s Peter O’Reilly (tenor) - all supported by a chorus drawn from the cream of Tipperary, Thurles and Clonmel musical societies together with a full orchestra under conductor-musical director Danny Carroll ably assisted by Musical director-repetiteur Mary Rose McNally.

The narrator will be Michael O’Donoghue who also devised this production.

Autumn Racing Ball

The Friends of the Simon Ryan Theatre, in association with the Design Centre, are delighted to be hosting an ‘Autumn Racing Ball’ which takes place on Sunday, October 26th at Ballykisteen Hotel and Golf Resort.

This event is a fundraiser for both the Irish Injured Jockeys and the Simon Ryan Theatre which is located in the Tipperary Excel Arts Centre.

This red carpet evening includes a champagne reception and fine dining which leads into the Design Centre Fashion Show showcasing Ireland’s top talented designers. This will be followed by a charity auction and concludes with music and dancing till late. This highly-anticipated event will feature trends for autumn-winter 2014.

Commenting on this announcement Friends of the Simon Ryan Theatre said they are delighted to be working in conjunction with the Design Centre raising funds for such worthy causes, particularly the Jockeys Emergency Fund.

The ‘Autumn Racing Ball’ should be a super evening of fine dining and high class Irish fashion.

The Design Centre are encouraging all to the stick the date in their diary and get ready to party premier style.

The event will being at 7.30pm (dress code: black tie). Tickets €125 per person. Models will be provided by the Holman-Lee Model Agency with music by Pat Marnane and Chain Reaction.

The master of ceremonies for the night will be announced shortly.
