Renowned visual artist Joy Gerrard has been commissioned to create a series of artworks for Terryglass Quay for the 16th Terryglass Arts Festival (August 13th-17th).

Renowned visual artist Joy Gerrard has been commissioned to create a series of artworks for Terryglass Quay for the 16th Terryglass Arts Festival (August 13th-17th).

A graduate of the National College of Art in Dublin, Joy has postgraduate degrees from the Royal College of Art in London and has exhibited internationally.

Born locally in Coolbawn Joy has chosen ‘rainbows’ as the theme of her commission and is looking for members of the public to send her images of

rainbows on or near Lough Derg.

Joy plans to include the images in a small publication that will be part of the exhibition in Terryglass. All images that are printed in the publication will be acknowledged.
