Killnaskully TV Star Shines At The Source

Are you a fan of Killnaskully and Fawlty Towers?

Then you’ll love The House that Jack Filled.

Full of clever pranks, slapstick humour and a stunning set this show will have you keeled over with belly laughs!

Jack McNally owns a hotel with 13 rooms, all of them sunny.

Originally built by his parents beside “a river as big as the sea” it’s a cosy, poky falling-downy type of place and Jack wouldn’t have it any other way.

It is his home and his livelihood.

Unfortunately his loyal patrons have finally abandoned its creaking walls and Jack needs to literally reinvent himself as well as the hotel.

Jack has a genius plan to fill his hotel with imaginary guests.

What ensues is a laugh-out-loud Fawlty Towers-style comedy that is an absolute howl!

Louis Lovett (aka Deiter from Killinaskully) plays the eponymous hero, and all the guests, no mean feat considering the freakish tics and traits that define them.

Louis has countless TV, film and radio appearances to his credit and, over the past twenty years he has worked with children of all ages through theatre and music, he is Ireland’s most experienced and critically acclaimed actor for young audiences.

The House That Jack Filled comes to Thurles following rave reviews at the Dublin Theatre Festival and Baboro International Arts Festival for Children.

Audiences young and old are loving this hilarious production.

It promises to be the hit show this season and early booking is advised.

This is what the Irish Independent had to say about it: “Lovett is never anything less than on a roll, especially in this new comic play by Finegan Krukemeyer,  which provides plenty of space for his brilliant physical and verbal comic skills.”

“Script, set and performance are perfectly fused . . . with true comic spirit theatre Lovett defies all age groupings to appeal to everybody”.

The House That Jack Filled features at the Source Arts Centre on Thursday, November 29th at 10am with a family show at 7pm and on Friday, November 30th at 10am.

Tickets are priced at E8, family tickets E25 (family of four) and E5 for school groups (teachers free of charge).
