Delegates from all over Ireland will descend on the Horse and Jockey Inn this weekend for the Annual General Meeting of the Association of Irish Musical Societies, which is being hosted by the South West Region.
AIMS delegates will attend the AGM on Sunday afternoon, but Saturday will see the National Council meeting to plan for the year ahead with over thirty counsellors expected to spend the weekend in the plush surrounds of the four star hotel.
The AGM will see a new President of AIMS elected with Mr Richard Lavery from the Northern Region expected to take over the hot seat from outgoing President Mary Heaney.
The event is set to provide a much needed boost to the local coffers.
