A David O’Connor concert in aid of the Irish Horse Welfare Trust will take place in the Derrynaflan Theatre at the Horse & Jockey Hotel on Friday, May 3rd.

A David O’Connor concert in aid of the Irish Horse Welfare Trust will take place in the Derrynaflan Theatre at the Horse & Jockey Hotel on Friday, May 3rd.

David O’Connor is a passionate horse-lover and combines his music career with a part-time job in the horse-racing industry as travelling head-man for Wexford trainer Colin Bowe.

As well as being the recipient of an Irish Stable Staff award this year David holds the award for being Folk Singer 2012 from the London Irish World Awards! He also was the winner of the penultimate RTE show Your’e A Star in 2007 & the All-Ireland Karaoke Champion in 2006.

David’s musical idols are Tommy Fleming & Josh Groban and he’s every bit as good as both of them!

David O’Connor recently held a sell-out gig in Knockainey, Co.Limerick for the Irish Injured Jockey’s Fund and is now really looking forward to performing in the Horse & Jockey in aid of the Irish Horse Welfare Trust.

The Irish Horse Welfare Trust do amazing work in all forms of equine rescue, re-homing and rehabilitation and rely solely on donations and public fundraising.

Tickets for the concert are priced at €15 and are available now from reception at the Horse & Jockey Hotel.
