A Red Hot Valentine’s party and disco fundraising event for the Irish Heart Foundation will be hosted in Kennedy’s Lounge Puckane on Friday, February 15.
It’s a wear red or fancy dress event, so get your thinking hats on (red hats of course), red dress, red shoes, red shirt, red head! Organise a group from work, get your sports club involved.
And if you fancy going all the way, the theme for the fancy dress is famous couples . . . that could be Batman and Robin, Jack and Jill, or a king and queen, so start planning.
Party music will be provided by the big hearted men of No More Mossies, and will be followed by a disco to the heart pumping sounds of DJ Mickey Mac. Lots of 80s stuff. There will be spot prizes and a raffle on the night along with finger food.
You may not realise it, but cardiovascular disease is the number one cause of death in this country. Every day in Ireland 26 people die from heart attack, stroke and other blood vessel disease. But there is hope. The good news is that many deaths can be prevented with greater awareness of heart attack and stroke symptoms, healthier lifestyle behaviour, ground breaking research and with greater CPR education across the population.
The Irish Heart Foundation relies on donations and fundraising activities to deliver programmes in each of these areas and in addition, provides vital support and information to patients and their families affected by heart and stroke-related illnesses.
A lively, fun night is guaranteed on February 15 at Kennedys Lounge in Puckane, and all for a great cause. Tickets are only €5 and are available from Kennedys Shop / Bar Puckane; Easons, Nenagh, and The Pantry, Quentin’s Way. See our event page on Facebook.
