Jim Kennedy`s have done it again with the announcement on Wednesday afternoon that Irish acoustic hip hop stars the Original Rudeboys are coming to Thurles. The group who enjoyed massive success with the single ‘Stars in My Eyes’ and ‘Travelling Man’ are set to play Thurles on March 15th.

There is no indication of who shall be supporting them as of yet, but it is sure to have great success in regard to ticket sales and demand.

The band were formed in early 2011 after the group gained media attention after writing and performing a song after a few drinks which was uploaded to YouTube.

The name of the band came along after Sean Arkins (lead vocals) was wearing a t-shirt with the words “the original rudeboys” emblazoned on it and jokingly passed it off as the band’s merchandise. The band soon adopted the name.

The debut album, This Life went gold in Ireland.

The band have just come off a tour with The Script and have previously played with The Swedish House Mafia.
