MAYOR of Nenagh, Hughie McGrath has expressed his shock at the sudden closure of one of the towns leading employers last week.

It's understood staff at the Super Valu outlet in the Springfort Retail Park were informed of the move on Wednesday evening last.
The store was one the anchor tenants of the Limerick Road development and employed approximately 30 people.
Mayor McGrath has described the closure as a "big blow" for the town.
